Many an artist has been inspired beautifully intriguing markings within the Iris, the name of which is taken from the Greek word for rainbow. The fragrant flowers are produced during the summer above grey green sword shaped evergreen foliage. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 60-90cm (24-36”) spread continues if left and can be divided in the autumn once established. Hardy perennial.
