(Himalayan Honeysuckle) Pendants of deep red bracts, with white scented flowers appear during summer and early autumn on bamboo like hollow stems, which can be used to make whistles and flutes. The attractive red purple berries are edible, apparently tasting like toffee though we have not tried them ourselves. Great for borders and containers, attractive to bees and butterflies, excellent for cutting and deer resistant. Happy in borders and containers. Height 200cm (80”). Spread 90cm (36”). Prefers sun or part shade in moist well drained soil. Hardy perennial.
