Lysimachia ephemerum (Loosestrife)

Loosestrife is said to mean ‘to dissolve strife’, in past times it was said to prevent oxen fighting.  Found naturally growing in meadows where tall spires fully of tiny white flowers with mauve veins over clump forming foliage.  Non-invasive and good as cut flowers.  Prefers moist soil in sun or part shade.  Height 120cm (48”).  Spread 45cm (18”).  Hardy perennial.
