Used in medicine by North American Indians, the curiously shaped, brightest red shaggy flowers look not unlike Indian headdresses, and appear from mid summer to early autumn. The aromatic foliage is much like the bergamot orange, hence its common name. Good for cut flowers. Height 100cm (40”) spread 45cm (18”). Prefers moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade. Hardy perennial. Delivery July onwards.
