The curved buds of oriental Papaver appear in the spring to reveal resplendent double flowers with ruffled, fringed flowers that continue to flower well into the summer. Attractive to bees and butterflies yet unpalatable to deer, rabbits and slugs. The seed heads make an attractive feature if left on over winter. The foliage remains neat and compact unlike many Papaver varieties that tend to flop. So easy to grow and fully hardy.
