A wonderful new salvia that tastes of apples, as good as its name. We were greeted by gasps at flower shows when telling people and inviting them to have a nibble.
Vivid red flowers give good autumn colour whilst most other plants are fading away. Apple tasting foliage can be used in cooking or fresh in salads. Great for containers and borders. Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 90cm (36”). Spread 60cm (24”). Half hardy perennial, may need some protection in colder and wetter areas.
