Stately spikes appear in summer holding many outward facing buds which slowly open to reveal delicate, papery pale pink flowers with a raspberry swirled centre. Grey green foliage in rosettes give such good anchorage, they resist all but the strongest winds. Good for cutting, drought tolerant, attractive to butterflies and deer, rabbit and slug resistant. Prefers poor dry soil in sun or part shade. Height 60-90cm (24-36“). Spread 45cm (18“). Hardy perennial.
