A brand new introduction for 2008.
Verbascum were once used, before the introduction of cotton, as wicks for lamps. Huge lightly ruffled flowers on short stems spikes. The dark centres contrast beautifully with the warm coppery peachy petals. The blooms appear on branched spikes over neat rosettes of furry green foliage. Deer and rabbit resistant. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 45cm (18”). Spread 30cm (12”). Hardy perennial.
