The shorter cousin of the more brutish Verbena bonariensis, but still with all the charm. Incredibly scented royal purple blooms on well branched stems were once said to protect against witchcraft, but nowadays attract bees and butterflies from June to September. Excellent ground cover and perfect for the front of a border. Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade. Height 60cm (24”). Spread 40cm (16”). Hardy perennial.
