Nandina domestica Firepower

Smaller gardens will love this tidy, compact beauty to give twelve months of colour changing foliage, berries and blooms.
In spring, new bamboo-like foliage emerges salmon-red, turning lime-green, ready to be
topped with clusters of white star-shaped flowers in summer.
Green rose-hip-like berries follow becoming glossy dark red with age. However, the triumphant finale really starts as autumn approaches with yellow, orange, red and deep claret trifoliate foliage which is retained all winter.
Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Height & spread 50-60cm (20-24"). Fully hardy perennial. Supplied in 9cm pots.

Plant Hardiness

How hardy are our plants?

All our plants have a guideline temperature for how well they will tolerate winter cold.

Fully hardy perennials will withstand temperatures down to -15 °C (5°F) and often lower.
Hardy perennials are happy down to at least -5°C (23°F)
Half hardy perennials can withstand down to around 0°C (32°F)
And Tender perennials may be damaged by temperatures below 5°C (41°F)

Please remember that temperatures can vary significantly within quite a small area, and hardiness can be affected by soil, position and other factors.
If in doubt please give us a call.

"Thank you ladies for your beautiful plants.
Praise also, for the Bulrush Compost, of which I have purchased 8 bags during the past six months. It is superb and my garden has flourished.
Bless you,
Kind wishes"
